ToryTales - Bears Love New Year

This post is about the trial of new textures, I coloured in this image from Torytales using copic markers and was really interested to try a technique had seen on Facebook this week of using white gel pens to add texture.

The first thing i did to create this card was pick my papers.  The next thing was to start working on the texture, lots of pen flicking.

The third step was to try a new type of background (feeling very adventurous today :)) i used distress inks and prayed water to make it look like a watercolour background.  Im using express it blending paper so the paper did have a little difficulty absorbing the water.

The next step is putting it all together and adding the finishing touches, I sewed the paper together to last years christmas papers from stampin up, along with cherry cobbler card and ribbon and gumball green card.  The buttons and the tree are eBay specials and the stamp is a new one from stampin up this year.  The final step was adding some glossy accents to the bears noses for a little bit of shine.

Copics:
Bears E70, E71, E74, E77
Feet R81, R83
Presents and sack C7, R35, R46, R59
Presents and patch G40, G82, G94

SCRAPPERS DELIGHT - PARIS CAFE

I love this image and decided that for this month I would try something a little different, so I have used prismacolour pencils for the first time.  I realise I have a lot to learn and pencils are very different to my usual copics but just love the vibrance they have given to this gorgeous image.  As soon as I saw the image I knew what she would look like and who is getting this card :)

kaiserkraft paper used, along with some stampin up stamps and card stock.  Flowers and corner embellishment are from eBay.

Grungy Fairy Image.

I decided to try a grungy village and my daughter said for halloween as we have coloured a pretty one.  The image is Fairy Village from Torytales.  I coloured using pencils (these are not bendable and belong to Miss 9) but I have definitely decided I would like some good ones.  So saving up it is.

I decided on the embellishments, the frontage is the first time I have used it and the brads are stampin up, the corner piece is from eBay.

I distressed the image quite a lot as was really playing with the frontage but it got the thumbs up from little miss.

Halloween Witch

Well I had so much fun with the other witch that decided to try this one for halloween, I was happy with the vibrancy of the copic markers used to colour her.  Stampin up paper used and bow punch, lace and sparkles from the local $1 shop.

My halloween / steampunk card

I had so much fun with the card for halloween, we are not big at celebrating it but loved the colours and embellishments.

Coloured in topic's, stampin up aper used, kaiserkraft dies and clock images and some clock parts from eBay.  I used glossy accents on the owls wings and crackle accents on his eyes and one of the clocks.

Fairy Village - A lovely little digi stamp by Torytales

I love this stamp, today I coloured it for a special young lady I know so I ensured I used all her favourite colours.  The image is coloured with copic markers.  The lovely new sweet sugarplum paper and ink was used for the embellishments.  I love to match all my colours up.

I used a lovely Liliofthevalley sentiment and backing paper which matched all the colours and picked some gorgeous little embellishments from stampin up to make sure I added some bling.

This is the finished result with a matching sweet sugarplum ribbon.  I also used liquid accents on the fairy badge sentiment and added extra for the sky effect, and glitter glue for extra sparkle.

Hope you like it.

Thursday 15 September 2016

The last card I designed using this stamp was very autumny, was as in oz were heading into spring thought I would do one to reflect our seasons.

The stamp used is tiny hedgehog by Torytale and is a digi stamp.

Coloured in copic markers and mounted on stampin up card stock with some free patterned paper from a craft magazine (probably a few years old)

I like to match my copic colours best as possible to my card and papers colours

For the finishing touches I added some crystal effects to the little guys eyes and nose and went a tiny bit overboard with the wink of stella pen, therefore added lots of buttons and bling, finally ribbon and sentiment.  Hope you like the finished result.
