Squirrel and Toadstool stamp by Ching-Chou Kuik

Today was a public holiday and what better way to spend a bit of time other than playing in the craft room.  I was wanting to use up some papers and as I have a limited supply of copic markers its back to the good old green and pink combo.  Sentiment by Lilyofthevalley, glitter glue used to add a touch of sparkle and glossy accents.  Hope you like her x

Fairy ink free stamp from when you sign up and she is lovely.

Coloured with copic markers and kaiserkraft papers, Im going through all my old supplies at the moment so I think the border is kaszazz and the gold love hearts are confetti.

The last card I designed using this stamp was very autumny, was as in oz were heading into spring thought I would do one to reflect our seasons.

The stamp used is tiny hedgehog by Torytale and is a digi stamp.

Coloured in copic markers and mounted on stampin up card stock with some free patterned paper from a craft magazine (probably a few years old)

I like to match my copic colours best as possible to my card and papers colours

For the finishing touches I added some crystal effects to the little guys eyes and nose and went a tiny bit overboard with the wink of stella pen, therefore added lots of buttons and bling, finally ribbon and sentiment.  Hope you like the finished result.

Wednesday 7 September 2016

Hi there, what a busy week, from putting up my first blog post to joining lots of challenges on other blogs

I started off with my printed images and decided on what colour Copic markers I would use along with what papers I would use.

The digi stamp is toritales cute hedgehog

The pens used are:
Fur E33, E35, E37
body E00, E51, E04, R81 and R83
Leaf E29, BG93, BG96, BG99
Lady bird R46 and black faber Castell Pen 199

I started in the middle of the image colouring the body first starting light to dark, and then worked my way out, the hedgehog was coloured in the lighter colours and I used the darker browns to fill in some of the gaps giving the look of some texture

When I had finished colouring I cut out the image and the backing in oval framlets, I started to play with the papers and embellishments thinking where I would like them to be placed, I then inked the edge of the picture and started to put all together.

The inks used are moment black, stampin up, cajun craze and choc chip.  Cardstock and leaf paper paper are Kmart along with the lady bug, and leaves.  (Got to work to that budget) the paper is very flimsy so its backed onto stampin up choc chip and the main card is crumb cake, again stampin up supplies

After I had cut out the memory box dies in mixed leaves on Stampin up cards in garden green (R), cherry cobbler, more mustard (R) and choc chip I stuck them all together using dimensionals.  The finishing touches was using crystal effects to make it look like there was dew on the leaf and on the little guys nose.

Thanks for viewing :)

Most months I attend a local photography club and we submit pictures for review and if were lucky we get awarded a gold, silver or bronze.  I entered this picture a while ago and was lucky to get a silver, i then decided i had nothing to loose and entered into the inter club competition for western Australia.  I have been selected as a finalist so will soon see it mounted and hung for the inter club weekend away.

Only problem...I can't spell Tolkien lol and got my i and e mixed up...wonder if anyone will notice
